Bitcoin: Quiet on the Surface, Changing Underneath
ΔSignal Alpha Lens. Why This Phase Looks Worse Than It Is
Bitcoin price has stalled into a relatively tight range in recent weeks.
Underneath, ownership is shifting.
Long-term holders still control roughly 14.5M–14.6M BTC, down from earlier in the cycle, and part of that supply continues to come into the market.
At the same time, institutional buyers are absorbing a large share of that flow through ETFs, with inflows typically running in the $300M–$700M weekly range, and occasionally higher.
Volatility has compressed toward the lower end of its recent range, well below prior expansion phases, keeping price contained while that shift continues in the background.
🔺 That is why price no longer reflects what is happening underneath.
Beneath the Surface
Beneath that transition, the structure is starting to align.
